Club News: December Meeting Election and By-Laws Changes

Club News: December Meeting

Voting for the following to occur at the December 1, 2016 meeting:

  • Elections for Officers
  • Proposed By-Law changes

All members are encouraged to attend, especially those with full club privileges who are eligible to vote.

In addition to the below candidates, floor nominations will be solicited at the meeting.

The Nomination Committee for officers of The Marple Newtown Amateur Radio Club have nominated the following persons for office: Joseph Gray (N3LMV) for President, Ace Trexler (KB3ACE) for Vice President, Connie Kester (KC3GPW) for Secretary, and Sheila Gray (KB3TVK) for Treasurer.

The Nomination Committee agrees that having separate positions for Secretary and Treasurer would be beneficial to the club, especially with the qualifications and expertise that the proposed candidates bring to the table.

Connie: Has an expertise in shorthand, a high proficiency in typing and many years of experience in the paralegal field.

Sheila: Has thirty five years of management experience in the banking field, ending her career as a Managing Director at Wachovia Bank.  After retirement, she was recruited to run the Payment and Loan Operations at Harleysville National Bank.  She holds a BA degree from Villanova University.

Because the current Constitution/By-laws of the Marple Newtown Amateur Radio Club combines the two positions together as Secretary/Treasurer, change is necessary.

Therefore, each member should be receiving a letter in the mail, stating the following:

A motion to amend the Constitution and By-Laws was made at the November 3rd, 2016 meeting.
